There are currently three products being developed:
  • Chandler Desktop
  • Chandler Hub
  • Chandler Server

Chandler Desktop is an interpersonal information manager that adapts to your changing needs. Chandler Hub and Server is a Java-based content/calendar sharing server with a built-in rich web application client. Each of the following products are part of an ecosystem, which work harmoniously with each other. At the same time, each product also has the flexibility to work as a stand alone product?. In addition, developers are also able to create extensions for Chandler desktop, see: Extending Chandler desktop.

Chandler desktop application is built on wxPython, a cross platform GUI toolkit. wxPython is a Python wrapper on top of wxWidgets. wxWidgets provides a uniform C++ API on top of native toolkits: GTK, Win32 and OSX (Carbon).

Chandler server includes everything you need to run a Java-based content/calendar sharing server right out of the box. There's no need to configure external web servers, servlet engines or databases. The major components of the server bundle are:
  • Tomcat 5.5 HTTP servlet engine
  • Derby 10.2.1.6 embedded database
  • MySQL Connector/J 5.0.4 for connecting to MySQL databases
  • Cosmo web application

All components are preconfigured, and the entire installation is contained within a single directory.
