Test that items in a collection get deleted when a collection is deleted and "collection and items" is chosen from the pop up dialog, and that they don't get deleted when "collection only" is chosen

  • select from menu Collection >> New
  • type collection name "delete items"
  • click the New appbar button
  • click in the detail view title field
  • right click and choose "select all"
  • type a title for the new item "item to be deleted with collection"
  • select from menu Collection >> New
  • click in the detail view title field
  • right click and choose "select all"
  • type a collection name "retain items"
  • click the New appbar button
  • type a title for the new item "item to be retained after collection deletion"
  • in sidebar select the "delete items" collection
  • right click and choose "delete" from the context menu
  • choose "collection and items" from the delete collection dialog
verify remaining items
  • click "All" appbar button
  • click "Dashboard" sidebar collection
  • click "task" column header
  • from top to bottom click once on each row
    • click in the very front of the detail view title
    • type an x at the beginning of each title
  • click once below the last row (so an extra item would get selected if it was there
    • click in the very front of the detail view title
    • type an x at the beginning of the title

  • in the sidebar select the "retain items" collection
  • right click and choose delete from the context menu
  • answer "collection only" from the delete collection dialog
  • repeat "verify remaining items" steps above
