Portal Project

The goal of the Portal Project is to improve the usability and content of the various OSAF web properties, including the website, http://www.osafoundation.org and the wiki http://wiki.osafoundation.org.

Status

Current Plan

• We've decided to take a "top down" approach to dealing with the portal problem. We've gathered some use case information from OSAF staff
• Tasks
  • Mimi, Priscilla, and I to define a taxonomy of topics for the Portal. This is in line with what Deb Richardson recommended to me - goal: complete this by mid-April -- this is the hardest task
    • Look at OSAF organization wiki area [1 wk]
    • Finish up Taxonomy changes [1 wk]
    • Investigate changes to navigation structure (side bars, top bars)
    • Prep final proposal for list discussion (including wireframing a page or two) [1 wk]
    • Proposal to list followed by community discussion [2 wks]
  • Compare the content that we have against the taxonomy and figure out what content is missing
  • Move content to appropriate place in taxonomy
  • Create any missing content
