When you share an item and it links to other items, which of the linked items are implicitly shared and which aren't?
The high-level answer is that it should be specified by the Kind's content model. When specifying a non-scalar attribute of a Kind, the attribute's
sharing policy should be specified. [
BrianDouglasSkinner, is this a data model feature request? If so, can you communicate this to the data model team?]
Here is a more detailed analysis, with general guidlines for deciding which links should be implicitly shared:
| Kind of link | Share Link? |
| Contained notes | Yes |
| Paired item via stamping | Yes |
| Other items in same collection including threads | No |
| Conversation items | Yes |
| User-defined item link attribute | To be determined when we discuss user-defined attributes |
| Reminders (in calendar) | No |
| Email attachment | Yes |
The last two are examples of domain specific Kind issues
