icons and their meanings

Chandler window toolbar
		View all types of matching item — with/without alarms, within/without the calendar — matches may be filtered by quick entry field use of the /find (search) command — matches may be filtered by selected collections
		Limit your view to matching items that are starred
		Limit your view to matching items that are events — for Dashboard and the other special collections, events are summarised in a table — calendar views (day, week, multi week) appear only for user-defined collections (below the line)
		Sync all
		The rounded corners of this field are reminiscent of search
		If the quick entry field is cleared, and if the cursor is moved elsewhere, then an in-field hint Create a new note reminds us that multiple purposes of this field include creation
		Clean up (bring order to Alerts, Unread/edited, Now, Later and Done)

		Item has a start time. Events with any duration are shown in the calendar. (Exceptionally: if the start and end times are equal, if there is no duration, then there is no calendar appearance.)
Summary table: date		Date of event or alarm (whichever is sooner) or date of edition/sending (if item is neither scheduled nor alarmed)
Summary table: triage status (TS)		Suggested by you, or by a person sharing, or by Chandler
Detail view (DV)		Starred — dark surroundings to these buttons indicate that they are pressed (active)
		Message (address fields are present in the item)
		Event (the item has a start time)

This Dashboard Icons page originated in September 2007, a few months before the releases of Chandler Desktop and Chandler Server (Cosmo). Now, in January 2009, depending on your uses of Chandler Desktop, Chandler Hub and other Chandler products: the meaning of the word Dashboard may vary.
