Cosmo Feed Service

Cosmo implements support for Atom feeds as a lightweight alternative to the enterprise-oriented CalDAV. The current feed service is limited to providing read-only views of calendars as well as generic collections of resources. We plan to expand the service to provide full read-write capability in two flavors: GData (Google's Atom extension for calendar, email and contact data) and CalAtom?, a similar-but-different formulation of calendar information using Atom.

Requirements for the feed service are discussed at CosmoFeedRequirements. Design details are being hashed out at CosmoFeedDesign.

See CosmoAtomProposal for the original proposal for Elliot Lee's 2006 Google Summer of Code project.
