Yo Brian. I *just* released 1.3.0rc1. The final release should be soon.
The main point of this release is that it's the last one before we
start splitting stuff off into separate projects.
I'll get Itamar to draw up some release notes soon,
before the release of 1.3 final.
I don't think there were any major deprecations in this release,
but it's been a while. Unfortunately we don't keep a central list of
deprecations added. But, don't worry, a deprecation is always just that
-- a deprecation, not a removal. You may see
DeprecationWarnings when you run code, but it doesn't
mean we've removed the functionality -- yet. We
usually wait several releases to do that.
This will definitely be less of a mess when we break
Twisted up into smaller projects. It will be easier to manage,
and we'll be able to keep track of these things better.

Refer to the mailing list archives. The gist is that there will be "twisted core"
containing internet, cred, application, and maybe spread, and several other
packages that contain relevant protocols + framework/application code.
e.g., The new 'mail' package will have SMTP, POP3, IMAP4, and eventually
some framework code, perhaps. the new 'web' package will contain
HTTP and the resource framework. etc.
