This report covers the period from Apr 22-Apr 28 2006 (one week).

Highlights

• Chandler
  • Alpha2 bug count going down quickly, some bugs triaged and others fixed
  • Feature freeze Monday (May 1) -- wxColumnHeader and Markup bar to land by Monday
  • Background sync moved to alpha3

Design and PM (Sheila)

Progress:

• Chandler
  • Alpha3 planning continued and start working on detailed specs (lozenge design, stamping)
  • Alpha2 non-code release planning - draft of readme doc.
  • 1.0 strategy work - prioritization and prep work on target user.
• Scooby
  • Final details for 0.1 release.
  • Following 0.2 progress - some design discussions on the list.

  • 1.0 planning and Alpha3 specs/details

  • Support work for 0.2.
  • 1.0 planning as part of the target user work.

Application WG (Philippe)

• Progress
  • Bug count going down very fast
  • All tasks for alpha2 in except for wxColumnHeader integration and Markup bar though both are extremelly close
• Plan
  • Team will be focusing on fixing bugs, write functional tests and help others get stuff in alpha2
  • wxColumnHeader integration (David) and Markup bar (Reid) to land on Monday

Platform WG (Katie)

• Progress
  • alpha2 bug fixes: email, recurrence, timezone, etc.
  • created a branch for background sync work
  • after a series of view merging bugs and fixes (recurrence gives it a workout), made decision to rewrite view merging
  • background sync moved to alpha3 to incorporate the new view merging, as well as testing after that
  • setuptools checked in to Python 2.5 trunk, but backed out after last minute objections
  • setuptools improvements to support dynamic choice to build eggs from local source if available (as per list proposal)
• Plans
  • regression test i18n features set in Chandler
  • writeup of sharing scenarios for testing
  • work on dump/reload proposal

QA, Build and Release (Heikki/Mikeal)

Progress:

• Finished most of the initial Chandler alpha2 feature testing.
• Verified lots of resolved bugs.
• Over the weekend did cosmo automation test writing documentation in preperation for sprint week

Plans:

• Getting ready for sprint week, cosmo 0.3 rc, and chandler alpha2 rc.
