Design and PM (Sheila)

Progress:

• Chandler
  • Repriortization of dogfood bugs in prep for alpha 3
  • Alpha 3 design work - lozenge design, markup bar icons, sidebar icons
  • Started drafting detailed alpha 3 plan and specs
  • Alpha 2 data migration plan
• Scooby
  • Continued work on Scooby 0.2 specs and designs
  • Scooby 0.1 landing page - finishing up

Application WG (Philippe)

  • Lots of bugs fixed though more bugs are being filled by a very active QA team
• Plan
  • Team will be focusing on fixing bugs, write functional tests and help others get stuff in alpha2
  • John focusing on fixing the wx issue
  • David on wxColumnHeader integration
  • Reid to land his markupbar next week

Platform WG (Katie)

• Progress
  • Bug:3521 fixed: body type changed from Lob to Text
  • Decided to add "title" attribute for Bug:1745, but not in alpha2
  • i18n roadmap email
  • Lots of background sync debugging, fixes not yet committed
  • Repository fixes for bugs revealed by background sync
  • Backwards compatibility fixes for 0.6 <--> alpha2 sharing
  • Recurrence/timezone bug investigations and fixes: Bug:5598, Bug:5673, Bug:5621, Bug:5715

  • 0.7alpha2 bug fixes

QA, Build and Release (Heikki/Aparna)

• Progress:
  • Tested checkpoint build Chandler 0.7alpha2.dev-r10343-20060419. Testing report available at : http://wiki.osafoundation.org/bin/view/Journal/DanSteinicke20060421r10343
  • Alpha2 features under test : free busy, dashboard and bugs being logged
  • Verification of resolved bugs
  • Tool for submitting repositories associated with bug reports delivered to the organization. It's available at: http://repo-submit.osafoundation.org/
  • Finalized the cosmo 0.3 transition plan

• Plans:
  • Continue testing alpha2 features on the trunk
  • Test the cosmo 0.3 release candidate once it is available

Cosmo and Scooby (John)

Progress:

• Cosmo
  • Migration tool is done has been tested with live data. We found a couple of issues with bad accounts, but otherwise everything is working well.
  • All but one open bug has been fixed for 0.3. We hope to have the last bug addressed by 4/26 (wed of next week)
  • Started thinking for next release. Bugzilla bugs have been assigned. More work to do here.
• Scooby
  • Scooby 0.2 is underway and is making great progress.
  • Discussions about JavaScript frameworks are ongoing on the list. Bobby, mde, and towns have been spending some time prototyping some functionality in Dojo and Prototype. We're planning to have lunch with Alex from the Dojo Foundation next week.
  • Jeremy Epstein (disclosure: Priscilla's husband) stopped in and demoed some of his work for us. He is interested in volunteering some of this time to work on Scooby. The Mini-calendar is a likely candidate for him to look at.

Plans:

• Cosmo
  • Fix last bug.
  • Get 0.3 release candidate into QAs hands this week (4/26)
  • Complete first draft of 0.4 release plan.
  • Think about the Vision of Cosmo going forward.
  • BCM is going to be out for most of June. We need to think about coverage of responsibilities during his vacation.
• Scooby
  • Continue to work on Scooby 0.2
  • Continue work on JavaScript frameworks issue.
  • Write up specs for 0.2.
  • Get discussions going on the mailing list for Scooby 0.2 features that need more discussion.
  • Work with Jeremy Espstein on the his mini-cal work.
  • Continue our discussions and work on the JavaScript framework decision.
  • Prepare list of Scooby projects for Google Summer of Code.

IT (Jared)

Progress:

• High rate of wiki
• VPN fine tuning for Mac and outbound connections
• OSAF IT projects list prepared
• Scooby-demo made available internally
• wiki upgraded to mod_perl for a performance boost

Plans:

• Talkback infrastructure development

Community (Pieter/Ted)

Progress:

• • Progress on OsafProjectRoles
  • Additional work on PortalProject
  • Almost finished both Scooby Landing Page site and the Cosmo Landing Page site. Wrestling with formatting issues related to FF vs. IE rendering of mde's original code. 99% of Scooby content in place, 75% of Cosmo content in place. Expect to be finished by mid-next week if mde can help tweak the formatting. (starting to figure out css-style page develpemnt)
  • Started Scooby FAQ
  • Started Cosmo FAQ
  • Got final confirmation on room and time for WAC meeting, send out meeting announcement.
  • Added, after consultation with IT, Performancing metrics to the group blog: http://performancing.com/metrics/wp.osafoundation.org

Plans:

  • OsafProjectRoles
  • Work with mde, bcm, and towns to complete formatting work on cosmo and scooby sites.

  • Meet with Blue and C.D. to organize the catering for Core Sprint Week.
  • Meet with Esther, Greg, Creative Commons, and Topaz to organize for the social night as part of Core Sprint Week activities.
