Undo Brainstorming Session

Goal

For Mimi and Sheila to get together and list out all the user scenarios for which we would ideally like to support undo.

Undo Should Work

• Delete and remove
  • we don't necessarily need to support undoing the "empty trash".
• Drag and drop
• Creation of items, in-place or from new menu
• Creation of a collection
• Moving items around in calendar view
  • this includes summary table view and sidebar when this is working
• Editing a field
  • all attribute values - anything in the detail view
  • timezone in detail view but not the calendar view setting
  • sidebar - name change
  • summary view edits
  • in-place edits in the calendar view
  • calendar colors
  • stamping and unstamping operations
  • recurrence modifications
  • triage status - both in det view and in summary table view (when this is working) * Edits to the notes field
  • we may need to do some research to understand how to handle this one.
  • we do not want this to be character based, we would like to undo a word or some set of words
  • the next step is to understand what the guidelines are around this - Mimi thinks it may be time based
