This is an inventory of summary table view related bugs currently logged in bugzilla for the 0.7 or a future release. This will be used to as context for the bug fix and cleanup portion of the summary view table view spec. I indicated those items still assigned to 0.6 as well since they may get triaged out of the release and we will have to consider them for 0.7.

Alpha 2

• Bug#1230 (fixed) - Table view column headers should be sortable - Alpha 2
• Bug#2627 - New note invisible at the bottom when summary view is full of items
  • Notes: Since we are focussing on the table view for 0.7, we will need to fix this.
• Bug#2884 - Drag and Drop out of a table causes subsequent highlight problem.
• Bug#2809 (fixed) - Columns should auto resize as you adjust width of summary view. - Alpha 2
• Bug#2982 (fixed) - Sorting in tables -- including proposals for how this impacts repository indexes and sharing.
  • Notes: Need to spec out all the details for 0.7 so we know what we need to do.
• Bug#3044 (fixed) - wxColumnHeader - wxGrid integration Alpha 2
• Bug#3065 - New item gets lost.
  • Notes: This is all related to the sorting stuff. When we have everything sorted correctly, this should just work.
• Bug#3307 - Dragging multiple items is awkward.
• Bug#3351 - Selected item should persist when switching from one App area to the Calendar.
  • Notes - We made a simplifying assumption for 0.6, assuming you do not leave the calendar view. For 0.7 we will want to come up with a solution that fits the tenets appropriately.
• Bug#3945 (fixed) - Items hidden in the summary table view under the header.
• Bug#3107 - Display text when the table is empty.
  • Notes - this was left over from the sidebar virtuality.
• Bug#4461 (worksforme) - No scrollbar in summary view at startup
• Bug#4481 (fixed) - Pressing "enter" on a selected focused item in summary view should enter the title edit mode

Alpha 3

• Bug#2167 - Who, Date, not always showing the right attribute
  • Notes: This is related to the whole "what is showing up in what column" issue for 0.7. We are going to address this properly.
• Bug#2252 - 'Chandler User' shows up in the 'who' column for notes.

Alpha 4

Not targetted for an Alpha yet

• Bug#2466 - Summary view table to be able to enable and disable send button based on selection.
  • Notes: This is really email specific. We are doing some email work in 0.7 but it's unclear how much we need to worry about in the context of the dashboard. I am leaving it in the list anyhow.
• Bug#2541 - Sidebar width should be adjustable.
  • Notes: This is not really table related but worth addressing. We decided not to do this for 0.6 since we assumed that calendars have short names ie: home, work. For 0.7, if the collections in the sidebar will be groups of tasks, then we may want to revisit this.
• Bug#2789 - Add item counts in the sidebar that update as the user selects various app bar buttons.
  • Notes: Once again, this will depend on what we do with 0.7 email. I do believe that we wanted to have the counts return for search though and we will have that in 0.7. It's worth trying some simple solution to see what it looks like since the sb is already very busy now.
• Bug#3085 - Editing email title (summary) acts weird on Linux.
  • Notes: This is linux specific and already has a work around. This is a placeholder to investigate if there is a root problem.
• Bug#3462 (worksforme) - Bad summary view display of items with the LANG environment variable set to fr_FR.UTF-8.
  • Notes - I have no idea if this is needed for 0.7 but adding to list of bugs for evaluation.
• Bug#3854 (fixed) - Editing title in the summary view or editing collection name blanks out the name.
• Bug#3994 (fixed) - Scroll position is wrong after switching views.
  • Notes: We probably want to look at the correct behavior for this in further detail.
• Bug#4330 (fixed) - Scroll units should be grid cell height.
  • Notes: Notes will be important in 0.7 and we will also be addressing this as part of the "what shows up in what column" issue.
• Bug#2605 - Inline edit of date in summary window wipes the entire entry.
• Bug#2777 - Dummy email data should all be "from" the same person...
  • Notes: TBD based on 0.7 email goals.
• Bug#4039 - Clicks in the summary view are ignored after making changes in the Detail View. (0.6)
• Bug#4067 - Localization of who, about, and date headers required. (0.6)
• Bug#1988 - In Calendar Demo, unstamping an item as a calendar event removes it from the calendar collectio before I click away from the item in the summary table. (0.6)
