Demos

1. Markie presents a demo on the build system re-design. We have moved the external code out of the tree and simplified the process. Status page for Tinderbox shows the progress of the different builds. Test system is automated, but we do the builds manually.

  • Different platforms being built on different machines. Tests are running continuously.

  • Heikki will set up a meeting next Tuesday for everyone who wants to talk about Tinderbox and what it should be doing, (i.e., automate builds, etc.)

  • Best part of the new build system – you always know that you have the most recent bits.

2. Stuart presents a demo on getting items in the repository to export out to webdav and then importing them back. (Lisa says that using WebDAV to synchronize data peer to peer will give us a repository that is accessible to outside clients.)

  • Importing and exporting at the same time. DAV related properties – same data. WebDAV server is the one being used for this. RSS items being up and down loaded.

  • Chandler properties map pretty well to the WebDAV properties. There are a couple (bodies) that don’t map exactly. Maybe break them up into separate properties

Next Week

  • Mimi will demo detail view

  • Andi will demo item clouds
