SharingBar

The SharingBar is a block that appears in the DetailView. Below is an obsolete wireframe image that does show the SharingBar (identified as "Send bar" below):

The SharingBar is place to allow Sharing of the Item. The SharingBar has two blocks: the ToWhom block in the middle part of the bar, and the SendMessage block on the right.

  • ToWhom - this block determines where the message will be sent. It has two radio buttons: "to all" and "to new*". If "to new*" is selected it just sends a Notification to the people who are new to this email thread. BTW, these contacts appear in the MailToField with a star on them to indicate that the are new recipients to the email thread. The default is always "to all". The "to new*" button is normally disabled, but when you add new Contacts to the FromAndToArea it becomes enabled and stays enabled until you Send/Share.
  • SendMessage - This block is a simple text button labeled "Send" that sends the message entered in the MessageEntry field. The button label changes to "Resend" if the item has been edited and previously sent. If the field is empty, this block is disabled.

Questions:

  • Send is supposed to synchronize the item's content, and send the message, right?
