We need to get Scooby to deploy daily from the latest tinderbox build.
ACTION: Jared to get that going within a week
Cosmo/Chandler Testing
We still need a good load testing solution for testing Chandler with Cosmo
Bear started some work based on Zanshin, but got hung up looking for a framework to hang it all on. Apparently, Twisted (the Python HTTP framework Zanshin uses) does not play nice with most testing frameworks due to its idiosyncratic threading model.
Bear reccomends just running the "normal" share calendar test repeatedly for now
ACTION: Heikki to follow up on automated load testing
We need another Cosmo-Chandler testing day.
To happen tomorrow, Dec 16 ACTION: Sheila to plan session
Bkirsch thinks he's spotted a mem leak in cosmo
We need to integrate JRockit into Jared's server instance managing system, should be easy ~1 night of work
ACTION: Jared to move production instances to JRockit on Halua
"Sharing over Cosmo is the killer feature of Chandler 0.6!" - so stable Cosmo/Chandler interop on halua is critical!
Will we be metering users in case usage gets out of control?
ACTION: Bring this up at next meeting
Bear would like to see testing machines at OSAF (as opposed to ISC) for easier access and BCM needs a more accessible test machine.... * ACTION: repurpose computer under BCM's desk, early next week, Jared & Dave
Should we release Cosmo w/o SSL? SSL could hurt performance too much right now.
No, we already improved performance a good deal through mem leak fixes and using JRockit
Do we have too many instances of Cosmo?
No, shouldn't be a problem, especially as most of them are idle and our memory consumption is down considerably.
As of right now, Bkirsch reccomends a heap of around 400megs for Cosmo instances based on his mem profiling
Process for making halua changes between meetings?
ACTION: Use tickets
Cosmo .2.5
One major mem leak fixed
we weren't logging out of the JCR session, which retains lots of Jackrabbit objects (like 100k in one case)
Some changes to CMP
ACTION: Aparna or Sheila to enter a ticket to upgrade to production when signed off
Scooby
Have demo ready for next week's staff meeting
ACTION: Bobby to prepare server, Matt to present during meeting
We need to go more public with Scooby
ACTION: Lisa to meet with Bobby and Matt to discuss
ACTION: Bobby and Matt to read Fogel book on Open Source.
