Scooby to not use CRAPI
  • Too many dependencies on JCR is not a good thing
  • Also waste of effort for Scooby dev to figure out how to map jcr objects to Scooby events
  • Instead we'll create a version of ScoobyService? which reads and writes iCalendar files from local filesystem

Scooby immediate next steps

  • simple viewing of events (perhaps not recurring, no elegant overlapping events, no multidays)
  • simple saving of events
  • goal - to have something new to demonstrate every weekly meeting - starting next week!

Scooby recurrence

  • Think about this sooner than later. Coding everything with this important feature in mind.
  • Will discuss more next week

URL Field

  • Brian really wants a url field in the event. Look into where this is in icalendar format
  • Matt/Mimi to worry about where to stick this in the UI

Matt Scooby Progress

  • re-factored scooby lots of JS to be more object oriented
  • broke out js code to different files based on area of concern
  • using JSDoc code comments
  • we should publish our js date formatting library to the wiki and possibly to jsan?

Matt Landing page work

JSON License issues

  • Sheila to have more info next week

Brian Cosmo progress

  • .2.1 released - mostly interop bug fixes
  • now workign on .3
  • Started work on import tool to import JCR data from XML files. Will submit to JackRabbit? folks
  • CRAPI is defunct but has helped in a general API clean-up

XML within XML conversation (can anyone help fill this out?)

Using CalDav? you cannot specify sorting

Matt needs to think about navigation between weeks/months

Time Zones

  • always be thinking about time zones
  • at very least make sure tz-id prop is set
  • shouldn't be easy to forget - ical4j will yell at me if I do

Bobby to check out icalendar spec

Bobby to monitor ical4j project on sourceforge
