January 27th 2006 - Community Discussion on IRC Specific to Scooby

IRC discussion is archived starting at 13:02.

Questions for discussion:

  1. What are the current sites which developers think are good for sources out information? For example: http://www.mozilla.org/developer, http://www.apache.org/dev
  2. How is the layout of information good? What's not so good?
  3. Do you use these sites regularly? Is the information always easy to find, if no why?
  4. Should there be more interesting topics in the Scooby specific blogs to generate more conversation/feedback? (I noticed there are little to no comments on the OSAF blog)

Goals

  1. Show people what we are doing w/ Scooby, including unusual uses of ajax
  2. Call out Scooby independent library code that might have opportunities for collaboration
  3. Provide information on how people can get involved

Sample URLs for reference

  1. http://www.php.net/docs.php
  2. http://www.php.net/manual/en/ for the English docs.
  3. http://planetapache.org
  4. http://www.postgresql.org/ (perhaps to get to this level of polish one day)
  5. http://python.org/
