QA Meeting Notes Oct 18, 2007

Agenda

• Desktop 0.7.2 update
  • Desktop trunk build testing by virtue of using the application within the team for task management, PTO tracking, scheduling meetings.
• Cosmo 0.8 - migration testing?
  • Cosmo 0.8 migrated instance is ready. Mikeal will run his automated tests first and validate migration. Then he will send an email to the list.
  • Possibly tomorrow we will do a test session for collaboratively testing the personal data on the migrated instance.
• Windmill 0.2 release
  • Windmill 0.2 release is done.
  • Adam will blog about this on the chandler blog
• Cosmo test enviornments
  • Meeting this afternoon at 3 pm with Jared and Bear to discuss this.
• Cosmo 0.9 testing on the branch (overlays)
  • Adam won't get to this before monday as he is busy with other items and some PTO time.
• Record/scripting next steps
  • Dan has checked out the RS branch and also developed 3 additional testcases, yet to be committed though.
  • Aparna will also check out the RS branch and start testing with that.
• Item generator tool * Dan is mostly done with this tool except a few features. Dan will make a patch and give to Aparna for testing it out.
• Mozilla demo/presentation * Clint has already given a demo of Windmill to the Mozilla folks there. Not sure we need to go down there again for this unless we are going anyways to showcase Chandler
• PTO coverage * Managers tracking PTO time and not Peter. All PTO requests should come to the manager.

Status Update

Dan

• Working on itemGenerator
• Began testing script recording in its branch
• Helping to track/ direct work on script recording

Mikeal

• Verifying Cosmo 0.8 bugs while automating them
• Released Windmill 0.2
• Automated Windmill build/test/release/upload procedure
• Created new windmill milestones per new release plan on mailing list

Adam

• Fixed some legacy hacks that led to a bug blocking Mozilla from using the recorder
• Started in on reorganizing the windmill tests to make it easier for others to contribute
• Wrote my first js test and started working on tests for recurrence etc.
• Started in on 0.8 rc2 validation and found the circular dependencies bug
• Worked on some blog content for the Windmill 0.2 release

Aparna

• Going thru the Desktop 0.7.Future bugs and nominating for 0.7.2 release
• Testing Desktop 0.7.2 trunk builds
• Working on script/recording next steps
• ZVP write up on strategy list
• responding to blog posts
