Endgame schedule coordination
Server/Hub on track for putting server on Hub next week. (Yay!)
Desktop woes: problems with indexes are the most worrisome. Andi would like to have a week with no new index errors, in a perfect world. We're hesitant to hold up the release for that condition. Philippe noted that the index problems have been repairable (apart from one glitch that has been fixed). Ted suggested checking/repairing indexes at some regular point, perhaps with the pruning cycle.
Discussion point: do we block on having Desktop released? Primary concern: we don't want people hitting the server with 0.6.1 or alpha4, which look like more stable releases than the latest checkpoints (even though the checkpoints are more polished and stable). In particular, we'd really prefer to have no 0.6.1 users hitting the hub with 0.7. Proposal: Get to an a RC this week. Validate the RC; put the RC front and center on the download page so that users don't download 0.6.1 or alpha4. Jared confirmed (in a subsequent conversation) that we haven't had any 0.6.1 hits in the last 4 days.
