Cosmo status

• Bug count is still pretty high
• New bug find rate is pretty high around the dashboard
• Last swag we estimated we need an additional 2 weeks - to be conservative
• We could priortize bugs needed for OSCON demo
  • Need to get a list of these sooner rather than later
• We should do a run through of desktop against server test
  • Some testing done already
  • Run desktop tinderbox tests against the current build - QA Cosmo
  • When are we going to do this?
  • Do this by Thurs of this week - identify the critical issues
  • Tag them in bugzilla as P1
• Ted: Prefers that we slip 2 weeks
• Next actions
  • Ted will communicate the slip to the list officially
  • Sheila - Look at the time line and adjust the end dates accordingly
  • Aparna - identify critical OSCON bugs and tag as P1

Desktop status

• We are now at 78 bugs
• Philippe sent an email to the list
• Only 3-4 bugs per developer
• We should now start to stabilize the tree
• Find rate is still pretty high for sharing issues but not for the rest of the issues
• Meet with bug council today to discuss Philippe's proposal he sent to the list - end game restriction on the tree
• Desktop might be ready a bit before the server
• Lately there have been a bunch of regressions - adds some risks to code complete
• Last week we focussed mostly on Cosmo
• QA wants to have time to validate some regressions
• Bear - how can we call it code complete before we run it against the Cosmo trunk
• Aparna - we have been testing against Cosmo trunk
• Next actions
  • Bug council will meet at 4:00pm today to talk about whether or not we declare code complete today

OSCON

• Next action - need a demo script from Katie
• Business cards - Mimi working with Jake on this
• Landing page in place - wiki looking good
• Are there any other items we need to have before OSCON? We are in pretty good shape.
• We will focus on fixing critical bugs for features we are going to demo.
• We could consider delivering some cards to Ted in advance since he is arriving on Monday

Documentation and wiki update

• Wiki home page - do we have this filled out? * Architecture overview needs to be updated
• Code dependent stuff - done for the most part
  • Philippe did a run through of all the links and they looked ok
• What do we mean as release notes? - known issues list
  • I need to have draft done this week to start reviewing
• Ted - will we have release notes on a per release basis?
  • List that is concise of what is different from release to release. On the Cosmo end we probably need something.
• How to separate out what the release is and what as changed in the release from the last one
  • Philippe and Jared will take care of this - figuring out what we need in terms of release notes.
• Next action
  • Mark the bugs needed for OSCON as P1 - Mimi will do this
  • Some redirects shoudl be done by OSCON - Jared will work on that
  • We should probably have the landing page look right in IE7 - a bug we need to fix

Cosmo help

• Leaning in the Cosmo team to point to release specific help
• We have not written these pages
• PM proposal was to just replace this with a link to the general FAQ
• Current link goes to Cosmo specific Help
  • Update this and create a new page for Cosmo
  • Point to the FAQ - the Get Started Guide would also be a possibility
• Jared - possible proposal - point to FAQ#Cosmo
• Don't have time to write dedicated Help for Cosmo at this stage
• Take the help stuff and put it in the FAQ
• Pointing to the Get Started Guide is a good place for help
• Proposal we agreed upon
  • Point to the Get Started Guide by default
  • Do something to make this to configurable for Jared
• Next actions
  • Sheila will add the URL to the Guide in the bug then assign to Ted
  • Ted will work with devs to make sure this is configurable

Other

• Mimi doing final sweep through english strings * Mimi can still do this after code complete * Modify po file
• Mimi should go ahead and do this for Cosmo right now - looking at the properties file * She will go over the properties file after code complete
• Ted - request to look at launch plan proposal on PR list and respond
