Milestones this week/Chandler feature freeze

• Chandler feature freeze is the main milestone.
• Preformance work, design review and Cosmo 0.6.1 integration depend on this.
• Still on track for Thursday.
• We are creating a temp branch Tues - EIML stuff related to email - allows us to integrate a bunch of stuff.
• This weeks milestones have been updated on the Preview plan but we have not adjusted any other dates.

Decision on site technologies

• Milestone date for this is currently May 1.
• Jared and Sheila picked this date since Jared wanted us to do some work on defining the site hierarchy prior to making this decision.
• This decision really affects 2 areas
  • Integrated landing page
  • Redesign of the OSAF site
• Pieter would like to see more detail around this on the Preview countdown - punchlist of decisions and milestones
• Jared basing his decision on several things...
  • Total number of pages
  • Frequency of update
  • Dynamic vs static
• If we are going to switch technologies - level of effort is some form of driver.
• Like to get PHP out of the URL
• OSAF site - get rid of movable type - designed as a static page.
• Jared: Page count is likely low
• Pieter: from a content creation standpoint there are concerns for waiting that long. Want to make this decision in the next two weeks.
• What is blocking us from making that decision?
  • Probably nothing.
• Do we have a short-list of alternatives?
  • Jared has some
• Pieter - same technology for both sites
• Next actions:
  • Do some work on this before we have worked out the full landing page design.
  • Review the user documentation proposal - last call posted to the list.
  • Pieter will have a look at the current landing pages and will put together a sample hierarchy.
  • We can have some dialog on the list but no big meeting to discuss until the logo work is complete - Apr 5
  • Pieter and Jared will continue to discuss

Other stuff

• Move wiki conversations for PR to general.
• Pieter
  • Mitch signed the trademark registration forms.
  • We have 90 days from the date of filing to file for international.
  • Pieter will do a write-up on the filing costs.
