Portal Project Meeting 07 April 2006
Agenda
- Go over everybody's taxonomy cuts and see if we are converging
Notes
- Ted's cut at the Intro/Home and Sidebar sections
- Portal_Intro_Home.pdf: Portal_Intro_Home.pdf - He expanded the two red areas and added "status" and "chandler platform". This is not a real taxonomy because some of what is shown in the diagram is actual leaf node content as opposed to a category where that content would be placed.
- Portal_Sidebar.pdf: Portal_Sidebar.pdf - the sidebar is harder to do because it's a navigation over other stuff.
- Mimi's cut: WikiReTaxonomy. She expanded the products out, yielding pages 3 and 4. Page 8 is an example of a Product home page. The wiki page that the PDF is embedded in contains exploded content of what is reachable from page 8.
- Q: What about people who aren't developers and just care about PIM's?
- A: That sound like end users(?). Ted to take a cut at an end user oriented view, since his interpretation of the Intro/Home is really from a developer who is new to the project point of view.
- Q: When do we section by Project and when do we see the whole (ecosystem)?
- Cycle time feels too slow, and we are stuck by waiting on the Friday meeting. So let's take this to email in general@ and see if we can increase velocity. Will have a short checkin/sync up on Wednesday 4/12 after the Scooby meeting. To facilitate this, Ted to record previous history and put onto the PortalProject page.
- Next Actions
- Mimi to flesh out her section with more detail (similar to Ted's)
- Ted to record previous history and put on PortalProject? page.
- Ted to move discussion to e-mail in general@
- Ted to ask specific individuals w/ domain knowledge to try and flesh out sections of their wiki.
