• Question of the week: What open question do you want to tackle today?
  • elementtree (pythonic api) vs libxml2? yes, lets replace libxml2
    • add elementtree to build -- bear
    • repository work needs to be done -- andi
    • sharing work -- grant/morgen
  • sheriff and buildtools
    • bear will write a script to send email notifications to most recent checkins
    • katie will send email about new script and expectations of developers
    • heikki will make clear what are common false positives and how to detect them
    • we will disable tests that fail due to network problems, and log a bug to "do the right thing" (mock objects or whatever)

    • heikki has next step of coming up with proposal
  • 0.6.1/PyCon
    • bug 5075: this is a real merge conflict that the app needs to handle
    • we're not going to try and merge new and improved flickr/feeds parcels into 0.6.1 branch

Grant

• Progress
  • Fixed in zanshin:
    • 4977: Creating a new calendar fails on Hula: "Share already exists"
    • 5053: Problem with redirects at trumba.com
  • Booked PyCon trip (all that's left is preparing my talk
  • Looked into 5075, which turned out to be an issue in the new flickr parcel rewrite (fixed by AndiVajda).
  • Started work on zanshin bugs 4470, 4981, 4982
  • Got most of the way through zanshin from using the clunky libxml2 to the cool elementtree.
  • Investigated using slide WebDAV tools to execute xml-specified test cases.
  • Participated in Design session on scheduling/invitation workflows.

Brian K

  • Finished off PyCon arrangements
  • Configured Ubuntu Linux box as main development platform (Email, IRC, Printing, Sharing, Servers)
  • Installed and configured Chandler Development environment on Ubuntu
  • Installed and configured Cosmo Development environmnet on Ubuntu
  • Installed and configured Jrockit and the Jrockit profiling suite on Ubuntu
  • Set up Eclipse IDE on Ubuntu
  • Installed Apache and Mod_DAV and configured for WebDAV research and testing
  • WebDAV and CalDAV research

• Plan
  • Meet with BCM to go over Cosmo Quota implementation first steps
  • Continue CalDAV research and start reading up on Java 1.5 additions and JCR architecture
  • Work on PyCon presentation paper (Submission date is Feb 15)
  • Co-ordinate i18n tasks for .7 (wxWindows, Mini-Cal, Dialogs, Eggs, Translation packages)

Ted

  • Worked with Mitch on governance statements

  • Prepared and facilitated internet information straighten out person workshop with Jared
  • MSN search champs - a number of good conversations around chandler, including Merlin Mann (43Folders) and Gina Trapani (Lifehacker)
  • PyCon sprint and BOF registration

  • More on internet information problems
  • try to resolve flickr and 0.6.1 issues
  • make sure that any 0.6.1 dev changes happen
  • talk to mimi and sheila about domain model stuff

Morgen

• Progress
  • Two PTO days
  • Got up to speed on indexing; started using a 'compare'-style index for faster lookup in feeds parcel, then when 'value'-style indexing was added I switched over to it for even more efficiency.
  • Fixed 5051 -- Functional Account dialog test wasn't working on linux
  • Wrote an overview of 0.7 sharing goals for public comment

  • Continue developing 0.7 goals and spec
  • Try background syncing

PJE

• Progress
  • Misc. setuptools feature work and support
  • Discussions and asststance re: template() machinery
  • Fix bugs with schema.Annotation, and similar hidden bugs in Enumeration and Struct
  • Refactor schema API to not run installParcel() while kind creation is in progress, and to not create temporary 'tmp_'-named items during creation.
  • Misc. cleanups of references to '//userdata' in the application (still about a dozen left to remove)
  • Some work on egg parcel loader
• Plan
  • Make a more detailed plan for my 0.7 goals to make sure I'm working on stuff in the best order
  • Start implementing the plan.
