EuroPython day 2

  • Went to Andi's talk on Chandler's repo
  • zcc.buildout: an alternative to eggs and setuptools, or rather, use eggs but avoid modifying the python install
  • Went to PyPy talks
  • Connected with some itappi and nuxeo people during breaks, interest in PyICU
  • Looked into PyPi: we should get PyLucene and PyICU registered, may be Chandler too (later, in the 1.0 timeframe?). Talk to PJE and Ted about this.
  • NXLucene: PyLucene is getting lots of kudos here!... smile
  • py.execnet
  • New and useful modules in Python
  • Lighting talks and Guido's state of Python talk
