Decisions and Next Steps

  • Aparna and QA team are running tests in several scenarios to check download footprint when Chandler is running for long periods of time. Analysis and data will be available by Friday July 22.
  • Katie will schedule a meeting between Ted and Olivier so Ted can help as resource for Olivier's work with loading excel data into the repository.
  • Sheila will work on restructuring performance page with more explicit goals for 0.6.
  • Aparna will have Bear blog about new unit tests added to tinderbox for import large calendar (Morgen) and creating new data (Ted).

Notes

  • Logged a bug for the resource/memory footprint. Bug #3380. Assigned to Andi. Investigate first to find out more information.
    • Morgen's scenarios -> 1. had Chandler running for extended period of time. 2. Had the Zaobao running.
    • Since our target is usable calendar, focus on
      • sharing personal 3000 event calendar
      • sharing the office calendar
    • Sheila will find out how often the office calendar changing on a weekly basis.
    • Monitor the chandler with rss feeds to see if we can find out more about what is happening.
    • QA team will run some tests to find out what the threshold is for the memory foot print and leaving chandler running - end of week July 22 we will get some data and make some decisions about goals for 0.6. Will discuss this in performance meeting on July 25th.

  • Sets and item collections
    • re run performance tests once all the collection/set code has been integrated.

  • For 0.6 most worried about
    • import
    • view switching
    • sharing and updates to a large calendar
    • others, creating new event, stamping....etc.

  • Olivier update -> working on converting excel data to load into Chandler repository - > repository api calls only.
    • See where we are next week.
    • ted should be a resource for him - help him with apis.

  • Bear added 2 tests to tinderbox
    • Morgen's unit test to import 3000 event calendar
    • Ted's test loads a whole bunch of new items.
    • Get Bear to blog about this.

  • Where are we with CPIA script since we can use it for some of the slower use cases
    • Anthony is working with Donn to find out what the global events are that we can manipulate.
    • Can create blank events but not modify parameters
    • Need to update CPIA script when we figure out how to do this.
