OSAF preparation plan
OSAF will have a panel, a BOF, and possibly some focused developer event (maybe like a mini-sprint)
How we will put together our panel:
As an extension to some of the topics we're currently discussing in the Community Working Group; e.g.
- developer community outreach events like sprints, user group presentations, etc.;
- along with planned Community Group discussions with the other WGs on community involvement goals; and
- as part of the ongoing analysis of actual community involvement,
we will identify what the technical community seems to be interested in and what's useful to us to promote.
Then at the beginning of June as we're closing in on 0.4 goals and given the "hot topics" list from the previous work, Pieter will talk with the Apps and Repository groups to see what they would like to demo and discuss. Based on the short list of topics we'll have candidates for presenters and demo topics. Discount hotel bookings are available until June 25 and the presentations are due to O'Reilly by June 28 which should give the presenters a couple weeks to prepare materials.
