• Katie talked to several people about possible blog posts
• Mimi suggested a "how to dogfood" post - what do we want to learn
• Katie suggested a "feature of the week" post
• Still planning on having everyone in the ops team write a blog between now and preview

List culture

• A few issues have surfaced in this area
• Some information not clear ie: Andre's post to the user list
• Some miscommunication because people didn't know a decision had been made
• Behind on list summaries
• Develop good habits and set expectations
• Define a "headline" for the meeting - what is the message
• Send this message out to everyone so they can help us
• Talk about this during the staff meeting too

Logo and trademark

• Katie sent mail last week
• Trademark - do we want to file for international trademark? * We can postpone until post-Preview. * International users are important to us but we aren't sure about whether or not to do the trademark.
• Do we trademark the logo? Consider some explicit license that's compatible.
• In general, people aren't crazy about trademarking because we need to enforce it. We need to grant/deny permission.
• Need to have a policy on how we enforce this. It's work to handle this on a case by case basis.
• We could do nothing and decide after Preview.
• Next action: Jared will write up a proposal and send to the Ops list.

Metrics

• Jared walked through the metrics we have right now
• Ted: would like to have # of accesses via bookmarkable URL
• Anonymous access statistics would be good to have
• A bunch of streams we get daily but we will focus on presenting the most important stats in the dashboard
• Interested in downloads, mailing list and blog stats
• Developer metrics will come later, perhaps users in IRC channels
• Next actions:
  • Jared will present at staff meeting
  • Add Chandler downloads to the list.
  • User agent breakdown and mailing list stats
  • Look at how to measure bookmarkable URL access

Other

• We have a site license for Deskzilla
  • Last release was yesterday - still actively maintained
• QA Cosmo will be used for Cosmo test builds
