Operations Group Meeting 27 Feb 2007

Branding/Pr
- Wiki and landing page look and feel: we're going through round 2 of feedback. Still issues to work out (see yesterday's email from Ted). Are we converging?
- We are converging. There are four parallel branding efforts: product naming, domains, logo, and landing page design.
- Product naming: Final proposal to be sent to the list.
- Logo: Feedback in. When will this be presented to Mitch and finalized?
- The timeline for finalization of logo and presentation to Mitch is about 2 weeks.
Preview
- Schedule, Features, Performance and Quality Bar: There are competing tensions between those 4 dimensions, pulling the project in several directions. We had a somewhat tense discussion yesterday on these during the Countdown to Preview meeting and I think we should review how we want to manage those tensions, especially at the management level.
- Consensus that rolling dates aren't helpful.
- PPD owns clarifying expectations of the type of adoption and feedback expected for Preview launch.
- Cosmo / ical4j: proposal to make a contribution to help them out to fix a critical TZ bug.
- This contribution was approved by the ops team.
People
- Interns and GSoC?: getting some resumes, will field them to people as appropriate
- Aparna increasing her hours to 6 hrs/day.
- Jeffrey to be working remote from Atlanta for a while (in a month from now)
