Hiring Discussion

KEI IT topics (Katie)

• Katie met with Dave, he had some topics to discuss
• Move some stuff in house due to problems with ISC
  • Bring svn in house? We won't have offsite backups then. We probably need to come up with an alternative plan for offsite backups.
  • Bugzilla upgrade? Should we upgrade to the latest?
    • Worried that it would be a distraction for Preview.
    • Aparna said there is a ticket to upgrade due to enhancements. These are nice-to-have but not necessarily required.
    • Next step: Dave will talk to Aparna and Heikki.
• Use cosmo for conference room scheduling?
  • How far are we that.
  • Make it a goal for Preview. Good goal but a bit ambitious - enterprise like.
  • Do we run in parallel for a while? Does Jake maintain a book. We need to think about this as a larger plan.
  • Walk-up kiosk service.
  • Talk to people who will be using this on a regular basis.
  • PPD will own this project and examine alternatives.
• IT team reviewing old tickets to clear them out

Community (Katie)

• Users list - should we have more than one list
  • Wouldn't call it Chandler users - more general like OSAF users.
  • We should have one list for both.
  • Decision: create one list for now and see what happens. We will use the new branded name @osafoundation.org.
• IRC channel usage -- qa sessions, etc
  • Every week we need to decide what channel we will use for QA.
  • It could be every week in the #OSAF channel.
  • Decision: Use the individual Chandler/Cosmo channels and change from week to week.

CSG (Sheila)

• Next meeting coming up in May.
• We originally said we would attend.
• We should think about this soon, who should go

Board Meeting update (Katie)

• Overall went well
• Demo'd Chandler/Cosmo
• Talked about branding

Preview

• What are other Preview things we need to be worrying about...
  • Problems importing Freada's calendar into Chandler. Bugs in export from Outlook.
  • Think about making this part of our process to test. Recommend a tool for instance.
  • What can we do to be proactive about identifying stuff like this. Things we are missing.
  • Getting user feedback is key in this. Also need to assess the environment.
  • We need to have an opportunity to get some user feedback before Preview - end of Alpha5, appropriate Cosmo release.
  • Have a users list setup by next week.

  • State of the wiki - communicating externally.
  • Documents - need to brainstorm this list.
