Hiring Discussion

OSAF IT

• Met with Chris about possible projects he could work on part time/contract
• Three proposals
  • OSAF Webmail
  • sharing resources - people pages

Mirapoint (Philippe - 10 min)

• Phillippe was contacted by someone he knew - director of engineering
• They are interested in talking about Cosmo

Service Support (Jared - 5 min)

• Areas of support
  • NOC
  • Customer support
• Load is low now but we want to be prepared for this
• Jared knows about building out both of these
• Jared thinks we should use the current lists for now
• For the future, we want to keep costs low - self-service
• Good documentation
• Forums - heavy self-service channel
• Strategy should be wait-and-see, use the lists for now and see what we need down the road when volume increases
• Are there any other support types people care about?
• This load falls on current staff - is this ok?
• Do people think we need to install forums?
• Katie: Benefit for current staff to do this now. Shouldn't build out before we know what shape this takes.
• Some risks - things might fall through the cracks - could be hit with too many requests
• What is the threshold of customer requests before we decide we need to go to the next level

Beta in March? (Katie - 10 min)

• One of the risks we haven't discussed - are we on a realistic schedule?
• What do we do about this.
• Agreement that we need to try and make our March deadline and use this to make tradeoffs.
• Probably will have to be realistic and cut features
• Cosmo - there is less visibility on the plan and if we will make it
• Proceed as planned with some discipline around focussing to make the dates
• Clarity on Cosmo schedule is a top priority

CSG report (Sheila - 5 min)

• We won't be attending the fall meeting
• Sheila will be preparing a report about the projects
• She will also contact Greg Jackson and remind him that we are not attending

Staff meeting agenda or demos next week?

• Markuu project management tool.
• Dashboard - following staff meeting.
