Operations Team Meeting Notes - May 30, 2006

Staffing

• Continuing to work towards hiring Business Development hire. Some interviews will take place this week.
• Interns: We have 4 interns starting this week. (1 PPD, 1 QA, 1 Scoby, and 1 Cosmo)
• Cosmo/Scooby: Job postings are going out this week.

CalDAV^? client"> Palm Treo Mobile CalDAV client

• OSAF to work with Greg Bryant on CalDAV client for Palm Treo as a proof of concept.

David Koretz

• David Koretz, CEO of Blue Tie will be coming in today to talk with the Operations Group about selling into the Small Business and the email market.

Scott Rosenberg's Book

• Book will be available sometime between October and January.
• This is good for us: gives us a chance to develop further before book out.
• Katie: Our goal is to make the ecosystem usable before this date, but its another reason to work towards our goals.

Community

• Pieter is now the clearing house for conference presentation. Anyone working on a paper for a conference should work with Pieter when submitting their paper to a conference.
• Branding: Pieter to kick off branding discussion and get the process underway. Kickoff will be next week.

Meeting Culture

• We would like to move to a list culture instead of meeting culture, but we still want to keep our strong contact with remote members of the team (meetings are a primary way to keep in touch with the SF OSAF people)
• We plan to talk about this at the OSAF General staff meeting.
• Consider moving the OSAF General Staff Meeting to every other week.
• Katie will talk about this at the staff meeting.

End of Summer Goals

• Sheila: Working torwards plans for the end of the summer for the ecosystem.
• This work on the plan includes all of the components of the ecosystem.
