Operations Group Meeting Notes 20060418

• Interns: have some lined up, but could still take 2-3 more
• CSG: decided we'd do one last update, not as big as last time
• WAC: next meeting in 3 weeks, Sheila will be attending
• Press:
  • Sheila etc. talked to Jim Fallows, article from him coming out end of June where some of the discussion will appear
  • Google calendar response; reporters contacted Mitch, we set up talking points wiki page
  • Will set up a press or pr mailinglist, action item on Ted to get this going
• Core Sprint week in 3 weeks
  • Some topics that we'll want to tackle: cross-project communication, sharing format, functional test writing, build changes, alpha2 testing, lightning talks about self assigned projects, strategy
• Google summer of code 2
  • We want to participate
  • Need to come up with list of 3 month projects students could do by beginning of May
• Staff meeting
  • Core sprint update
  • 5 minute update on each project, make it permanent part of staff meeting
