What makes Sharing and Collaboration different in Chandler?

  • Centered around the Individual, rather than the Group. You choose what share of the information is Yours.
  • Ability to mix Group data with your own Personal data (ie. Add an Office calendar meeting to your Personal calendar)
  • Provide for differing perspectives on Shared data. Different people can have different values for the same attribute. ie. Event status for each attendee.
  • We bridge the gap between Email and Sharing

User Groups

  • Mitch and Esther sharing Mitch's calendar and Task list
  • PPD team sharing a team calendar and Task list
  • Sheila maintaining a Jason collection and sharing it with him
  • Ted and Julie sharing a Home calendar and Task list

Workflows

  • Adding items from outside of Chandler: Emails, Notes, Documents
  • Creating new items within Chandler
  • Assigning tasks
  • Inviting people to events
  • Update items
  • Notifying people of new items and updates
  • Reviewing a shared collection
    • What's new?
    • What's been updated? By whom? When?

Constructs

  • Spheres and Perspectives
    • Esther viewing the Mitch Share from Mitch's perspective. (ie. Event status, Task status)
    • Sheila, Priscilla, Lisa, Katie and Mimi viewing the PPD Share from the team's perspective
    • Sheila viewing the Jason Share from Jason's perspective
    • Ted and Julie viewing the Home Share from the household's perspective
  • Do we need to designate Shares as "Personal versus Group?" I don't think so.
  • What are attributes potentially affected by perspective? Personal versus Shared? What are the use cases?
    • Event status
    • Triage status
    • Tickler/Reminders
    • Notes
    • User-defined Labels and Tags?
    • Who attributes?
    • Title?
