Scooby Meeting Notes - April 25th 2006

Agenda

• Question du jour: Should we create a snapshot of 0.2 to release with the Cosmo 0.3?
• Chandler ecosystem and vision strategy of the products at OSAF. Where does Scooby fit in?
• Small updates and changes on the FRM and Scooby 0.2 wiki page.
• Scooby status: Please update your page on the weekly wiki meeting notes: Please remember the goal is to helps communicate to outward facing people.
• Consistent terms. Target users release = Dog foodable release.
• Volunteers/contributors
• Goggle Summer of Code. Light brainstorm ideas for projects?

Next Actions

• Q. du jour - John and Matthew will work with Jared about the snapshot of 0.2 release. This will not change the 0.1 release. It will point to the existing OSAF bundle.
• Updates on the wiki/FRM - Keep your bugs up to date so Scooby 0.2 wiki feature chart can be up to date.
• Volunteer/contributor - Remember to ask Mimi's d/f questions on irc:

1. what exactly they're trying to do?
2. why they're trying to do it?
3. what they're having trouble with, and if possible?
4. what they've already tried and had fail...

This will help us understand the user who is trying to access/use OSAF products.

• SOC - make sure everyone has signed up to be a mentor. Two more days left.

Matthew

• "Timeline on the left" -- removed inline display of times and put the hour display on the left of the events canvas.
• Created stub of text-processing object
• UI detail/polish work

Bobby

• Finished for the most part recurrence stuff on the back end (view only)
• most time being spent in Dojo exploration

Pieter

• Content is there on the landing page site. Everyone should read through their pages to make sure:
  • the information is complete and up-to-date
  • you walk through all links on the page and secondary pages to make sure nothing is broken
  • either fix any problems on the wiki or send me an email to fix something on the site
• Need help from mde to clean up formatting problems on the pages (nasty FF/IE rendering issue) ( Matt said he is looking into the problem )
  
• other than that, ready to go as soon as QA signs off and Jared installs the real bundle for the demo.
• Question was raised, do we need to make it obvious that there is significant progress on the Scooby code since the official 0.1 release and point interested parties to 0.2 snapshots or nightly builds?
