PPD Meeting July 2, 2007

We usually have this meeting on a bi-weekly basis but Mimi and I decided to get together to go over the non-code deliverables and their status and coordinate on the wiki items we are working on. Our status for this week is spend most of our time on documentation, wiki deliverables and per usual dogfooding and testing the app.

Code dependent deliverables

• Bug relating to README. files when we install Chandler
  • Should we consider doing something beyond a link?
  • Sending out to the list - design or chandle-dev.
  • Next action: Sheila will craft some email explaining the decision and asking for input.
• Chandler headless - motivation is error recovery
  • Who is the right person to do this
  • Bug#7785 - if we don't document, someone will show up in IRC and ask a developer to help them
  • Other situations list this so we can leave it as a P3 - not a blocker for Preview.
• About Chandler dialog
  • Need URL to new landing page
  • Should add a URL to licensing information as well
• Jared wants the home page of the wiki to be wiki.chandlerproject.org
  • Sheila will talk to Jared - I need a decision so I can give the developer the link
  • Next action: Sheila will draft and email and send to general - all the stuff we think we are blocked on
• Bug, when you migrate - link to the migration instructions.
  • Need a link to this as well
• Ping Pieter about instructions for setting up Cosmo accounts and email verification etc
  • If in getting started guide then we can add this link for Bug#8623

Wiki stuff

• Pushing out areas and the links issue. We need to know the exact URLs.
• Pushing out stuff by the end of this week.
• Known issues links off the FAQ.
  • Acknowledge the fact that we don't have contact support - but we have auto-complete
  • Sheila will create a new page and start adding in content
• Sheila will get an intro for the planning page.
• Mimi will get a proposal out to the PR list so we can get
  • Not one of the ones we have been discussing
  • Do we use our usual process?
  • We don't have much time - OSCON, code complete.
  • Send out note explaining rational - brief bullet points. Explain time contraints.
