Maciej's Visit - March 14-15th 2005

We would like to recommend that discussions occur on Monday pm and Tuesday am. Splitting this over 2 days was Lisa's recommendation. Need to follow-up with Maciej to see what works best for his travel plans.

Status of client (Sheila)

  • Current Kibble product roadmap
  • Review 0.5 - what we accomplished
    • Demo of 0.5 - run through demo script
  • Review 0.6, 0.7 planning pages - where we are with 0.6 planning and design
  • What is Kibble? - review goals.
  • What is 1.0? - where this fits in to plan.

Standards, protocols and servers (Lisa)

  • Current status of the CALDAV standard, implementations, interop tests.
  • CALDAV standards roadmap - future work (scheduling, vCards, RSS, XMPP)
  • Chandler interoperability plans for Kibble: IMAP, CalDAV, iMIP, WebDAV, and protocol support libraries.
  • Chandler status currently: interop framework in 0.4, sharing in 0.5
  • Server product roadmap: 4 months, 1 year, beyond
    • Administrative features
    • Scaling
    • CalDAV support (again, protocol support libraries)
  • Chandler positions with other open source clients (Sunbird) and servers (Hula)
    • should we have a message from Mitch?
  • How does server roadmap line up with chandler client features? (Sheila)
