Some of the discussion
Mobile vendors are still very interested in proprietary protocols and services
Mark Patterson suggested doing a vision/sell to OMA from Calconnect (as our Calconnect liaison relationship ought to allow Calconnect to send a presenter in April or sometime)
Can we descibe a common vision?
Cyrus wants to be able to sit in his doctor's office and accept an invitation beamed from the reception's PC, and have it uploaded.
Mark says that mobile providers have max message lengths and that application protocols need to be able to break up a response (e.g. response to a REPORT for this week's events) into smaller chunks. Is this tech FUD? Doesn't the transport layer do that?
Chris suggests writing down use cases
The use cases however are highly modal. Depending on the persona you pick, you'll find very different use cases.
So far we've been hammering the business cases in our discussions with mobile vendors and ignoring the "teeenage girls" use cases
Maybe Mimi/Priscilla can help identify interesting personas for mobile calendaring use cases?
