IMAPEXT WG meeting

  • Disposition of Annotate: We at first thought this could go to last call but realizing that most IMAP servers didn't want to implement it (though clients do) we needed to do a bit more work to decide what IMAP servers could implement if all of Annotate was too much. Unless we change our minds on the list this will require a new draft and new last call.

  • Disposition of LISTEXT: We agreed to improve extensibility, reissue doc and redo last call.

  • Compatibility draft was formally adopted into the WG. Arnt will produce new draft and we'll do a WG last call.

Lemonade WG meeting

Initially pretty boring -- lots of discussion about OMA and liaisons and their requirements for mobile email and how an IETF WG can work with an organization that is so different (OMA cannot officially consider input from non-members including IETF)

Then we got into OOB notification -- again -- and it seems there might be a dozen competent people willing to work on the problem. Need to follow up with some of those people. Maybe Pete could do another workshop.

Polymer: Dave Cridland's client

My notes:

  • "Configure once only ever" -- using ACAP to store your configuration information the first time and later you just point to the ACAP server.
  • Haven't yet got it working myself -- need to install the standard wxWidgets libraries
  • Dave's IMAP library is quite advanced, he's already implemented many of the I-Ds in development.
