requirements for managing parcels that aren't part of chandler's core, first release

  • osaf needs a repository for example parcels
    • e.g.: zaobao, delicious?, flickr?, chao's parcel?
    • we'd keep these in sync with api changes, always as working examples
    • this doesn't necessarily need to be the same repository as the main trunk
  • osaf needs a repository for osaf developer experimental parcels
    • let developers experiment with code that is not on the official plan
    • this doesn't necessarily need to be the same repository as the main trunk
  • we'd like to be able to point to parcels that are managed outside of osaf
    • a wiki page might be good enough
    • e.g.: the parcel the berkeley folks worked on at the csg sprint
  • we've found it useful to have a sandbox for sprinters working on parcels
    • bear's svn
    • facilitates people contributing quickly without commit access to osaf's main repository
    • do we want to continue keeping delicious and flickr parcels there?
  • osaf could facilitate the management of some parcels that are worked on by folks outside of osaf
    • separately managed access control from main repository
    • could be osaf hosting, or could ask people to leverage existing resources (sourceforge or whatever)
