Bugzilla queries

AparnaKadakia and I have discussed the version field in Bugzilla. I think it is practically useless, while she finds value in it. My take is that practically everything she wants to use the version for, can be done better doing something else (even though it might require creating slightly more complex queries than you are used to).

The links below do sample Bugzilla queries. Click the links, then click the link "Edit Search" from the results page to see how I made the query, and customize it for you.

Search for all the bugs that have been filed in the last 14 days in Chandler product.

All bugs filed since 0.4 release shipped (have to search by bug filing date - 0.4 was shipped 26 October 2004).

All bugs that are targeted to be fixed until 0.5 release, including untargeted.

Build identifier that starts with '2005', followed by 10 other digits (this is the normal full build identifier for continuous builds).

Build identifier ranges from 200411* to 200501*.

Bug filed with milestone 0.4.01-05.

Bugs that are either nominated or granted to block 0.5 release.

Are there any uses where query will NOT do what you want? Maybe we just need to find the right query?
