Typefaces, font sizes and antialiasing in Chandler Desktop 1.0.2 on Mac OS X 10.5.6 with Unsanity Silk
The PNGs here may not fully reproduce the difference that was visible when I experimented with my first generation MacBook Pro 17" (1,680 x 1,050 pixels):- with and without antialiasing
- with and without font substitution
- Font smoothing style: Automatic - best for main display
- Echoes bug 9664 — White text on event lozenges looks washed out
- A non-antialiased view of events within a red collection
- A non-antialiased view of a red collection
- A non-antialiased view of events within a blue collection
- A non-antialiased view of events within a purple collection
- A non-antialiased view of events within a green collection
- An antialiased Geneva 12 view of events within a blue collection
- An antialiased Geneva 12 view of events within a red collection
- An antialiased Geneva 12 view of events within a purple collection
- An antialiased Geneva 12 view of events within a green collection
- I currently use Silk to prefer SimSun 14

SimSun 14 in Chandler Desktop 1.0.2 on my MacBook Pro
- Ming/Song typefaces may not be the most obvious choice but for me they work very well in busy reading applications such as Colloquy.
