This calendar is associated with To Do's you created in Mail

A description appearing in the Info window for a calendar in Apple iCal

During a previous experiment with Google Calendar, Chandler Hub and Apple iCal 3.0.6 (1273) I found in iCal:

  • under a main heading GMAIL-IMAP
  • a calendar named Google Mail Tasks.

Command-I for calendar Info presented:

  • a description This calendar is associated with To Do's you created in Mail.

Searching the Internet, I find other references to an identical description.

It seems that these calendars have two things in common:

  1. Apple Mail (as described in the Info window for the calendar)
  2. IMAP, including but not limited to services associated with .Mac, Microsoft Exchange and Google Mail.

I guess that these calendar configurations are, or were, created automatically at some point during use of Mail.
