The multi-function Quick Entry Field

In Chandler Desktop 1.0.2, appearing more like a search field than a notes entry area

When I first aimed to demonstrate Chandler Desktop, to a colleague at work, I sat staring at the window — puzzling, I could not remember where to begin.

After the event, I realised that the rounded ends to the main field make it appear too much like a search field (for example, the Google search field in Safari).

I don't use that type of search field to create things.

Later, when seeking something within Chandler Desktop, I realised that command-F transforms the Quick Entry Field (Create a new note.) into a search field…
