Chandler Engineering Meeting - Thursday May 25th, 2006

In the future, this meeting will happen every other week. Next meeting will be June 8th.

Alpha2

• What's left to be done before RTW (Release To Web)? Pieter finishing the landing page. Bear to generate the formal alpha bits. Have this synced up with QA on the list.
• Lots of effort in creating releases: what can we do?
  • people leaving was an issue that won't reproduce
  • wx 39 tarball was big issue, new wx svn and build will solve that
  • we need to prioritize bugs better earlier
  • non code work and release process a little too much
  • make process more visible, especially the last steps. Ideas: dashboard, specialized list thread

Alpha3 and Alpha4

• Let's be clear on the Alpha3 (feature set, etc...).
• Dashboard and Stamping specs out.
• Philippe to provide the list of features that will get in Alpha3.
• Sheila to send out an update on the email discussion for 1.0

Hardware plan

• Heikki sent a proposal to Philippe. Needs to be reviewed. Needs to move fast on some Chandler related items (wx tboxes and Intel Macs).
• Katie and Philippe to check the budget.

Soc / BOSE / interns

• Commit and sandboxes. Bear thinks he can get the pre-commit scripts so to provide commit access to the sandboxes only.
• Office Hours on Wednesday for Soc and interns.
