alpha2 status

• major problems with wx tarball 39
• john, reid, davids are depending on a new wx tarball to get their alpha2 fixes in
• delay alpha2 by two weeks to fix the wx issues
• branch current wx trunk to wx dev branch; make wx tarball 36 code the new head of trunk
• work wx 39 issues on the branch
• port wx fixes we absolutely need to trunk
• this way we can go with trunk if branch does not stabilize

• this means that people who are already done with alpha2 can start work with alpha3, with the following caveats:
  • if you can, help someone who is late first
  • work on small, safe bugs that you can finish in a week
  • does you area have functional tests? if not, create a test for your area
  • if you have big alpha3 issues that you need to start now, start that work on a personal branch

• Markku starting May 1, need to get computer etc. ready for him

• platform, design and engineering meetings create a long stretch of continuous meetings, discussion about moving something; whatever happens will be posted separately
