Unit Testing
  • Having general discussions about what our philosophy is for unit testing; coming to good agreement about practices and reasons and goals to strive for
  • Value of writing unit tests before code in many cases
  • Ideally checkin code, full tests (and results of code review) in one checkin, not separated over time
    • promotes smaller standalone tasks
  • test module functionality in targetted fashion (as well as running integration tests)

Conference attendance

  • Engineers will let us know what conferences they think they should attend;
  • Ted and Katie need to make a list of who should go to PyCon and OSCon
  • PyCon: Brian, Andi, Katie, Ted, Morgen (Twisted people attend PyCon) Phillip
  • OsCon?: Tutorial about using Python aimed at developers like us

CalDAV discussion

  • whether we require a CalDAV server for certain sharing features to work
    • probably for free-busy
    • post-Kibble: faster browsing of peoples' calendars
