services, repository and dev platform meeting 11 Oct 2005

agenda

notes and next actions

  • pje notes that "upgrade" feature is going to be hard. The current stake in the ground is that import/export of .ics files is good enough, and the mechanism we ask people to use when moving to a new release. Katie to follow up with Mitch and ops team to make sure everyone understands the current decision and the consequences.
  • import/export is very important to 0.6 -- bugs in import export have a higher cost
    • jeffrey to organize review of import/export test cases
  • performance is our most pressing technical challenge for the remainder of 0.6:
    • mini calendar could probably be optimized wrt handling recurring items -- katie to follow up with jeffrey
    • Andi could use a new perf bug/use case to look into -- katie will find one
    • GetLocation might be low hanging fruit -- Andi and Katie will follow up
    • Could be caching recurrence rules
