0.5 Planning Meeting

Attendees

  • Chao, Mimi, Katie, Lisa, Sheila

Notes

  • Calendar Workflows
    • navigation - looks ok.
    • in-place editing editing - more detail in cal spec (SM with help from MY)
    • need to nail down the separate free/busy view (SM, MY, CL)
      • spec out how the task and event statuses relate to free/busy - standards have a way to represent busy time from events.
      • look at standards - setup a review of these with Lisa.
    • remove dnd onto mini calendar
    • spec out rules for creating anytime during day/all day/multi-day rules for data entry (SM)
    • reminders
      • notification content model idea - shows up in dashboard.
      • work is noticing that you need to do something not what you need to do.
      • explore the ideas of what would be minimal but not annoying.
      • popups?
      • discuss reminders in more detail (CL, SM, MY).
    • date widget completion rules - need to add to spec. (SM)
    • custom recurrence - probably not
    • overlays, colors click rules - need to define better how this will work until we get the fancy widgets in place. (SM)

  • Sharing
    • add some information about invitations - may work for both events and tasks. (SM)
    • collection sharing need to be specific we are talking about this - clarify in workflows.
    • ideas - need to specify both the email and webDAV account name in the invitation. (SM, CL and MY work through options.)
    • go away and document this to get email and webDAV account information in order to get permissions and track statuses.
    • no broadcast of changes via email.

  • Other Features
    • horizontal layout....drawers (need drawer supporting widget). Need to spec out layouts, how we would get from one layout to another. Mimi will spec this out.
    • seeing that an email has an attachments and use a test menu to actually do the attachments, don't worry about a fancy UI.
    • email - basic replies no-quoting.
    • developer dog food for 0.5. Talk to Katie and Ted regarding the goals.
    • add one page spec for chrome, toolbar, summary table view, sidebar, detail view that references bigger specs and has simple list for implementation.
