Summary

This is a working page listing all the delta features to be added to the app in order to evaluate the current sidebar, app bar and product navigation design.

Feature List

• Appbar buttons
• Better toolbar bitmaps for the App bar icons - to indicate that these behave differently than the other toolbar items (different bitmaps for Active, Rollover (optional), Mousedown and Selected).

• Basic Filtering Feedback
• Icons next to the OOTB collections in the sidebar - these change for the All collection as you select different app bar items.
• Text for All Collection depending on app bar item selected
  • All my items MimiYin Should this be called Triage or Dashboard? Dashboard seems to be commonly used now.
  • All my tasks
  • All my events
  • All my mail
• Collections in the sidebar should be greyed out if there are no items of the "selected app bar kind" in that collection.
  • We should also have message in summary table view (no items of that kind). MimiYin There are no tasks in your Home collection.

• Shared collections
• If a collection has been shared, the text (shared) should be replaced by an icon - outgoing vs incoming share.
• Sharing a subset of a collection ie: events only.
  • We need a visual queue to indicate that only a portion of this collection's items have been shared. The current proposal is to have a 2nd set of sharing icons that show that a collection in the All mode is partially shared.
• RO and MD effect on sharing icons. Click sharing icons to bring up collection detail view to manage share.

• Item creation
• Collection Creation - Double-click on white space in the sidebar.
  • • By default the collection name is greyed out if there are no items in it. This is the same across all Apps.

• DnD
• Feedback on cursor to differentiate between Adding, Moving and Deleting
• Dragging and dropping items into a kind specific tab automatically stamps them as this kind (logged as bug).
