The QA team could use some help in testing the following features for Cosmo 0.6 release.

Migration Testing

The current production cosmo instance osaf.us has been migrated to lab.osaf.us (http://lab.osaf.us:4002). If you had calendars published on osaf.us, you could do the following:
  1. Point the sharing server on your Chandler to lab.osaf.us - Under File menu -> Accounts, set the Cosmo Sharing service to point to lab.osaf.us
    • Server : lab.osaf.us
    • Path : /cosmo/dav/(username) --> note: this changed from /cosmo/home to /cosmo/dav
    • Username : (username)
    • Password : (password)
    • Port : 4002, no SSL
    • Test the account to make sure you have access to the server.
  2. Go to Collection menu -> Restore Published Shares, should give you a list of your calendars published on the server.
  3. Select the shared calendar you want to restore.
  4. This should create the calendar collection in your sidebar.
  5. Validate the following:
    • the recurring events and modifications how up correctly
    • task and mail stamps on events are preserved
    • triage statuses on events are preserved
    • events show up in right timezones if enabled
  6. Update your calendar with additional events and sync on the server
  7. Log into Cosmo UI (http://lab.osaf.us:4002) and check your events on the calendar.
  8. Update the events through the UI and save the changes.
  9. Go back to Chandler and validate the events do show up correctly

Interoperatability with Chandler

  1. Publish a calendar from Chandler on qacosmo (http://qacosmo.osafoundation.org). You might have to create an account on qacosmo since it gets updated with every cosmo checkpoint build. Save the ticket information since you will need that to create the bookmarkable url as mentioned below.
    • Server : qacosmo.osafoundation.org
    • Path : /cosmo/dav/(username) --> note: this changed from /cosmo/home to /cosmo/dav
    • Username : (username)
    • Password : (password)
    • Port : 80, no SSL
  2. Access your calendar from Cosmo UI (http://qacosmo.osafoundation.org/cosmo) and verify the events show up correctly.
  3. Add and Update events on the calendar and sync the changes
  4. Validate that the changes show up in Chandler
  5. Using the instructions below generate the bookmarkable URL using the ticketed url generated above.
  6. Make sure someone who doesn't have an account on Cosmo can access the calendar using bookmarkable url generated above.
  7. Make sure changes made in Cosmo UI show up correctly in Chandler and vice-versa.
