Community Working Group Meeting 2 November 2004

Discussion

  • Goal for PyCon (23-25 March -- after 0.5 and before 0.6) is to have a tutorial session on Chandler; Engineering is working backwards from there to figure out what is needed. Since we don't want to have demoware mid-release, whatever goes into 0.5 is what we'll be taking to PyCon. Pieter suggests pulling in people from outside to "test" our developer dogfood on. The CSG meeting in the second week of January might be an opportunity to ask for people to try to build on Chandler.
  • There is a sense that community goals is on management's radar.
  • Pieter asked how stable Chandler is right now. Ted said that basic stability at the end of 0.5 is a big goal of his.
  • Pieter said that Mitch wanted the Contributors script to be able to show only the contributors before a certain rev, and suggested that Grant might be interested in that one.

Action items from last meeting

  • Ted to start coordinating with working groups re PyCon and 0.4 goals. folded into developer platform project.
  • Ducky to write a tutorial based on Morgen's servlets. downloaded Morgen's code
  • Ducky to wait another week for any objections to our new copyright policy to come in, then change the copyright. waiting for text from Pieter
